Sponsorship Program

Refugee Private Sponsorship Program ( R4R)

Through our Refugee for Refugee Program (R4R), We are facilitating refugee sponsorship program through training and orientation provided to refugee sponsors who invest in welcoming their fellow refugees in the United states or donate for other refugees. We Provide all necessary language and professional guidance to help both existing and potential   community sponsors overcome barriers and drawbacks  resulting along the process.

Child Education Support

This program supports Children’s Education in public schools whereby Persons of Concern (POC) and their families  acquire knowledge and skills about child safety and healthier growth. Students get access to necessary learning materials. The program also provides Language access to the LEP families during service delivery and a child-friendly environment that allows them to develop their mental and physical capabilities

Girls Education Support

This program promotes the desire to Learn and grow knowledgeably. We provide learning materials, after school back up assistance through ouc community ambassadors. We collect all necessary forms of donations materially and financially to be able to provide interruptible services.

Education Equity and Quality Program

Language services


Community Centre provides training on English languages to Persons of Concern (PoC) and their family members. It also prepares professional language interpreters and translators.

Vocation training Center


The courses undertaken include Entrepreneurship, Computer and financial literacy. The skills are basic and suitable for both trainees with formal and non-formal educational background. The programs offered by the center are divided into two categories namely long term courses and those for the short term.

Health and Social Protection Program

Sexual and Gender -Based Violence

We provide Gender Based Violence awareness training throughout the fiscal year.

Assistance to IDPs and Refugees

UHS provides psychosocial counseling, and basic needs assistance to vulnerable families across its entire area of action.  The basic assistance includes food and clothing, access to quality  employment, access to social services, impacting  knowledge, information access, and recreation activities as needed.  Throughout this program, UHS is providing COVID-19 prevention campaign with special focus to the Limited English Proficient communities.

Psychosocial Counseling

UHS provides psychosocial Counseling to couples, unemployed and students based on their needs. This service is provided by Senior Social Counselor. 

Community Development Program

Driving Education Assistance

UHS provides driving instructions in several languages and practices before the actual driver’s License test. Single parents (ELPs) and immigrant families (ELPs) have a priority in this program.

Employment Assistance

This is one of the programs implemented in Kentucky by helping ,mostly immigrant families,  from resume writing, filling job applications, Searching job opportunities and matching them with our clients’ needs. Single parents and ELP families are our main concern.
